Welcome to KT Counseling

“Healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step.”

Why try therapy?

Navigating difficult situations and symptoms without help can often feel incredibly isolating and lonely. Whether you’re experiencing a current life stressor, chronic symptoms of depression and anxiety, or have a history of significant trauma, therapy can be a beneficial tool for your overall mental health and well-being.

Therapy provides an opportunity to learn about your symptoms and patterns of behavior and make lasting changes where you finally feel in control and hopeful for what’s to come. My goal is to work collaboratively to give you the tools and insight you need to live life to the fullest.

Benefits of Telehealth

The idea of virtual therapy can be incredibly intimidating and uncomfortable. I’ve often heard, “I’m not good with technology, what if I can’t get it to work", “Can we still create a strong therapeutic relationship through a screen”. All concerns are completely valid and frankly, concerns I’ve had myself as well (coming from someone who really enjoys time away from technology and meeting face to face).

The good news is, we can navigate these concerns together! I offer grace, patience and understanding as we’re all trying to navigate and balance a world full of advancements in technology.

A few things I have learned: I’ve provided therapy services in several different environments and what I’ve found is there are many more benefits to telehealth services than I could have ever expected, with two key factors; telehealth offers flexibility and access. Have a sick kiddo at home, you’re on a lunch break from work, car just broke down…no problem! I’ve worked primarily in rural settings, and I’ve found that there are some significant barriers that can impact access to care (remote living with windy roads, heavy snowstorms, lack of transportation services, etc.). If these are concerns of yours, telehealth could be a great option and again, I’m here for you! Contact Me.
